DMI Integration Guide

This guide explains DMI-specific behavior after a client or sub-client registers access to DMI.

Overview

DMI integration provides distributor-specific inventory data through existing Skulytics API endpoints.

The integration is mainly focused on:

For general product information such as product name, brand, category, and product attributes, use the existing Get a Product endpoint.

Request Access

Before DMI data can be used through Skulytics API endpoints, the client or sub-client must first request access to DMI.

Use the Request Access Endpoint to request DMI access.

Individual Retailers

Individual retailers can request DMI access using their existing API key.

After the request is submitted and Skulytics confirms that the client has access, DMI data will begin the availability process.

Platforms

Platforms managing multiple clients must create a separate API token for each client through the sub-client setup page.

After the client token has been created, each client must request DMI access using the Request Access Endpoint.

Each sub-client must request access separately using that sub-client’s API token.

After Registration

After a client or sub-client successfully registers access to DMI by using request access endpoint, and Skulytics confirms that the client has access, DMI data does not become available immediately.

DMI data is typically available within 2–3 minutes after successful registration.

Once available, DMI data can be accessed through existing Skulytics API endpoints.

Data Refresh Frequency

DMI data is refreshed approximately once every hour.

This means DMI-provided inventory quantity and inventory pricing may not reflect changes in real time.

Important Notes

  • DMI data is accessed through existing Skulytics API endpoints.
  • A separate API surface is not required.
  • DMI data is usually available 2–3 minutes after registration is successful and access is confirmed.
  • DMI data is refreshed approximately once every hour.
  • For general product information, use the Get a Product endpoint.
